Permit Application Process

Any team that wishes to play a player who would otherwise be ineligible to play in any match, may only field that player in that match when an application for a playing permit has been approved by the BVHA Permits Committee. This applies to the Senior, Junior, and modified grades competitions.

The BVHA considers that the By-Laws allow all clubs scope to select and manage playing lists. As such Playing Permits will only be issued in exceptional circumstances. Furthermore the disadvantage to opposing teams in the granting of such a permit will be a major consideration, particularly in respect to Finals Matches.

Permit administration:
All applications for permits must be submitted via email, on the form supplied and by the timeline specified in the by-laws. Late applications can't be guaranteed to be considered.

The permits committee will decide eligibility by majority vote.

Permit applications:
Applications to: BVHA Registrar
Email: registrar@barossahockey.com
Deadline: no later than 3pm on the day prior to the match.
