Department of Human Services (WWCC Certificate)

People working or volunteering with children in South Australia must, by law, have a working with children check from July 1 2019.
Hockey SA is able to conduct this assessment via the SA Department of Human Service Screening Unit.
All volunteers in the Hockey SA community can obtain this screening at no charge.
Important notes:-
o A DHS/DCSI child-related check will be recognised as a working with children check until it expires.
o People who have a National Police Certificate assessed by their organisation and use it to work or volunteer with children have until 1 July 2020 to get a WWCC.
o A person does not need a WWCC if they are under the age of 14.
